Manufacturing plant

High-capacity battery storage brAIn

Delivery point: Amico Drevo, Oravský Podzámok

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Amico Drevo has installed a smart battery storage brAIn by FUERGY with a capacity of 864 kWh and an output of 800 kW. This storage helps optimize energy consumption, reduce costs and improve the company’s ecological footprint.

The task of the battery storage brAIn is to regulate electricity consumption and manage solar energy surpluses, minimizing costs to the grid and generating a profit from the provision of non-certified ancillary services.

For successful implementation of the entire energy system, it was necessary to replace an older, 1000 kVA  transformer with a new one at a capacity of 1600 kVA.

The project was carried out in cooperation with the energy supplier Slovenské elektrárne – energetické služby, s.r.o.

Customer’s total costs: 0 EUR, under the Energy as a Service model.

Manufacturing plant

High-capacity battery storage brAIn

Delivery point: Medeko Cast s.r.o., Považská Bystrica

The family business Medeko Cast s.r.o. has been operating with a solar panel system with an installed capacity of 999 kWp since 2019, which was supplemented in 2024 with a modern smart battery storage system brAIn by FUERGY. An energy analysis showed that for an annual electricity consumption of 4,900 MWh, a battery storage system with a capacity of 400 kW and 432 kWh would be suitable. The battery storage system is located outdoors.

The task of the smart battery storage brAIn at Medeko Cast s.r.o. is to regulate the production and consumption of electricity at the site in order to generate financial profit from the provision of non-certified ancillary services. Total energy costs are reduced as well as the carbon footprint of the site. The project was financed and installed in collaboration with the energy supplier Slovenské elektrárne – energetické služby s.r.o.

Construction and manufacturing plant

High-capacity battery storage brAIn

Delivery point: Stavokov, Trenčín

The Slovak construction and manufacturing company Stavokov, which specializes in the production and assembly of steel structures and technological units, has decided to optimize its energy processes and reduce energy costs. Based on business negotiations with SEES, Stavokov installed a brAIn by FUERGY battery storage system along with a solar panel array. Their primary motivation is the economic benefits of guaranteed returns and considerable energy savings that these solutions provide.

Following an energy analysis which determined  an annual electricity consumption of 638 MWh, we designed an indoor battery storage system with a capacity of 108 kWh and a power output of 100 kW for the company.

The installation was carried out in cooperation with the energy supplier Slovenské elektrárne – energetické služby as part of the Energy as a Service model.

The purpose of this solution is to regulate electricity consumption at the delivery point with the aim of generating a financial profit from the provision of non-certified ancillary services, thereby reducing the total energy costs and carbon footprint for the delivery point.

In the first 5 months since the battery storage was put into operation, the company has already saved 3.95 tons of CO2e emissions, which represents an 11% reduction.

Automotive factory

High-capacity battery storage system brAIn

Delivery point: Yanfeng Slovakia Automotive Interior Systems, Námestovo

The battery storage is used for smart management of the electricity production and consumption at the delivery point. The Yanfeng manufacturing plant has annual electricity consumption of approximately 52 GWh, 24/7 operation, its own photovoltaic power plant, and does not encounter major power outages that would affect the production processes. The entire capacity of the battery storage is thus dedicated to the provision of ancillary services and partially also to cover micro-power outages. Thanks to our solution, the factory has significantly reduced its energy costs, including its carbon footprint, meanwhile, the payback period of the battery system brAIn was less than two years in Q2 2022.

Textile factory

High-capacity battery storage system brAIn + PV system

Delivery point: Müller Textiles, Humenné

The Müller Textiles plant is an ideal candidate for battery storage. It operates non-stop 24/7, has a rooftop PV, and its annual electricity consumption of around 4.5 GWh is high enough for the installation of a high capacity brAIn system. Thanks to these parameters, the battery storage can be charged and discharged frequently and efficiently during the day, which translates into a fast payback of the investment into green technologies. Considering the Q2 2022 energy prices, the payback period is just over four years for storage and PV combined. Thanks to our smart solution (including flexibility brAIn for cooling systems - see separate reference), the textile plant has maximized the electricity generation from the PV system and achieved a carbon footprint reduction of up to 89%. In the phase two we have added second 432 kWh container battery storage brAIn with the new-generetion LiFePO4 batteries as the plant expands its PV system by another 500 kWp.

Customer's total costs: EUR 0 under the Energy as a Service model.

Refrigeration company

High-capacity battery storage system brAIn + PV system

Delivery point: MRAZIARNE SERVIS, Prešov

The battery storage brAIn for the local refrigeration company MRAZIARNE SERVIS is our first exterior system with a capacity of 216 kWh. We installed it as a complement to the PV system and the whole solution will also soon be extended by the flexibility brAIn for freezers and compressors. As the building is located in a flood area, we placed the battery storage on a 1.5 m metal platform. What benefits did the refrigeration company gain?
- proven reduction in CO2 emissions,
- maximized use of green energy,
- percentage share of total achieved savings, and its increase after the end of the contract,
- partial coverage of micro-outages,
- 100-percent tolerance of electricity deviations,
- trouble-free project preparation, approvals, and paperwork,
- prevention of reserved capacity overrun,
- the automated electricity plans generated by our software.
