What is Flexibility brAIn?
Flexibility brAIn is a solution developed by FUERGY that manages the flexibility of battery storage and high energy-consuming devices. The system optimizes energy utilization, responds to price signals and grid conditions to minimize system costs at the transmission network level, while also generating additional revenue for the client through the provision of ancillary services.
Among the FUERGY solutions providing Flexibility brAIn are:
1. Smart Battery Storage brAIn
Unlike standard battery storage systems, which primarily store excess solar energy, brAIn charges and discharges practically nonstop, responding to the needs of both the consumer and the power grid. It utilizes an Energy Management System (EMS) to analyze consumption patterns, electricity prices and predicted grid fluctuations, ensuring optimal energy utilization.
The brAIn system maximizes battery capacity utilization, significantly shortening the return on investment period. Moreover, it operates efficiently even without photovoltaics, but when combined with solar power, brAIn enables more efficient utilization of solar energy.
A great example of such integration is our installation at Medeko, where a brAIn smart battery storage helps efficiently utilize energy from a local 999 kWp photovoltaic power plant. Thanks to this, the manufacturing facility has increased its self-consumption, contributes to grid stability and earns additional revenue for providing non-certified ancillary services.

2. Technology Regulation brAIn
Technology Regulation brAIn is a software solution that optimizes the performance of high energy-consuming equipment (such as furnaces, pumps and cooling systems) in real time. The system monitors online data, including regulating electricity prices, consumer consumption and grid forecasts, to maximize savings and financial gains.
This approach gives devices an additional purpose, allowing them to generate revenue for their owners without any noticeable impact on operations. However, the technology must be able to be adjusted within permitted limits. The regulation can take place in a fully automated mode or in a form where our system gives instructions, and the client's system or device operator evaluates whether the intervention can be carried out, keeping control in the hands of the client.
We have successfully implemented Flexibility brAIn at the National Football Stadium in Bratislava, where the system manages water-to-water heat pumps with a maximum output of 3,150 kW. These pumps are used for heating the pitch and cooling the stadium, and offer significant regulation potential. Thanks to intelligent control, the stadium not only optimizes its energy costs but also reduces emissions by providing non-certified ancillary services. And all of this comes with zero upfront investment, through the Energy as a Service model.
